.Faculty of Civil Engineering has been establish since 1967, initially under the purview of the School of Engineering. The first group of students graduated with the Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering, a degree recognised by the Public Service Department, Malaysia. In July 1974, a two-tier system was introduced, giving students the option to enrol into a Diploma programme before continuing to a degree programme. With subsequent developmentand expansion, the school was restructured into three engineering faculties in 1996, giving the faculty its present form of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Since then, the faculty has been offering both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to fulfill the aspiration of the nation, the industry needs and in the effort of producing knowledgeable graduates.
