Decorations are entirely random. Each tier of tempered monsters have a different drop rate for themTier 1( HR13? Requirement) Is pointless to farm. Everything upto Legania in the Hunters Notes List.Tier 2 (HR30 requirement) this is best for pure decoration farming.
Legania and down in the Hunter Notes list.Tier 3 (HR50 requirement) these are Tempered Elder dragon hunts (TED) and a few rare specific monsters. They have the best drop rate for the other rare material Streamstones.Unless you somehow have all the augments on your weapons and armor that you want Tier 3 is your best bet. Unless you cant kill TED in under 10 minutes. Then stick to Tier 2.-There is also a guide on how to Deco Snipe on reddit. This requires that you have a fair number of decorations stocked up that you dont want and also research points in the 10s of thousands. You then manipulate ypur save file so you can track the Elder Melder table.
This table is unique to your save so you have to map it put first then use your backed up save to start at the top and use the list you created to only meld when the deconyou want is available. This is useful, it tells you which decorations can come from which Feystones and what chance they have:Note that Warped Feystones only come from tier 2 and tier 3 tempered monsters, however Worn feystones, which can be produced with melding, do have a (much smaller) chance to get any decoration you could want.Personally, I resorted to savescumming on melding. There's a trick for getting past the pre-generated seed.
Here's how it works exactly:Every SET of up to 3 melds is pre-determined (based on a random seed). If the first meld, set 1 is 'friendship, resistor, throttle' and the second meld, set 2 set is 'venom, defense, brace', set 2 will STILL be 'venom, defense, brace' even if you restore a save and craft only the 'friendship' gem from set 1.There are two methods to advance the seed to the next set, first, you can craft ANY feystone.
It does not matter if you create Mysterious, Glowing, or Worn feystones, ANY time you create one, the seed will advance for all feystone types. Second, and more usefully, you can appraise ANY feystone from monster drops/investigations. Furthermore, each TYPE of feystone appraised in a single investigation will advance the seed by 1, so if you get 3 Mysterious and 2 Glowing, you advance 2 position. So basically, the technique is this:. Backup your save. Meld as many Worn Feystone in sets of 3 as possible.
Ideally you should write down the results. Restore your backed up save (unless you got what you wanted). Optional: meld any kind of feystone in singles, until you've made exactly the same number of melds as in step 3, then meld sets of 3 Worn Feystones again. Restore the original backup save after doing this (unless you found your gem). Go do tempered investigations. Tier 2 monsters are the most efficient, as they can provide the largest variety of Feystones AND earn you Worn or Warped Feystones that can drop the decos you want. Count the number of feystone TYPES at the end of each investigation.

Once that number is equal or greater to the number of sets you melded, repeat from step 1.Edit: reddit guide on deco sniping suggests that the advance is simply based on number of quests, rather than number types of feystone drops. Pilsner urquell near me. This is possible, and might explain why my count was occasionally off. On the other hand, my count could likely have just been off because I'm forgetful and sometimes forget to check/record a quest.
In either case, doing quests advances the list.Statistically speaking, it's unimportant whether or not you 'miss' any potential decos from melding. While it's possible the one you skipped might be the one you were looking for, that has no effect on getting it at some other point. Originally posted by:Vitality (HP) decos are common, just play and you will have more of them than you know what to do with. The real grind are things like Forceshot, Spread, Handicraft, etc.
Bow charge up was the worst but then I still don't have any Handicraft (fortunately I don't need it). Anyway I just assumed the OP was making a(n uninformed) example rather than actually looking for one of the most common decos in the game. The chance for Mighty Bow is pretty low but unfortunately there are lower.
You might want to add in your deco sniping post that the seed advances per mission by 1,1, 2 always instead of just 1. Obviously you need to figure out your position in the rotation first though. According to Kiranico there aren't, but I know that some of their information is out of date.
I'm not going to update for '1, 1, 2' until I can confirm it, but I'm not really that interested since I have every single jewel except handicraft now. Not necessarily a full set (only 3 attack, only 1 mushroom etc), but it's generally more than I would actually want in a build (how many builds actually run 7 attack decos?).
